ABOUT

Adam Sward has been working as an illustrator for fifteen years. After graduating from the Perpich Center for Arts Education in 2004, his career started in the world of independent comics, where he refined his style with a heavy focus on visual storytelling through detail, texture and shadow. Since then, his  works for bands, comedians and film posters has featured both bold and moody color palettes, as well as highly accomplished portraiture. He began working as a tattooist in 2012, and has maintained a balance between the two creative outlets since. As a freelancer, he has worked on such properties as The Dresden Files, Garbage Pail Kids, Aliens, King Kong, and Godzilla. He was the 2017 featured artist for Surly Brewing, and has also contributed multiple album covers to the catalog of the Grammy award winning record label Stand Up! Records.
